Patients typically come to NeuroScience & Spine Associates on the recommendation of their primary care physician or other medical specialists. Our Neurosurgeons, Pain Management Specialists, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners and support staff are dedicated to providing expert, prompt, and compassionate medical attention for every patient we see. Below you will find some helpful information regarding how to schedule an appointment, what is needed prior to your visit, and what to expect the day of your appointment.
Scheduling Your Appointment
Most appointments are scheduled on the recommendation or referral from another medical provider. Based on the specific requirements of your insurance plan, we also see patients without a referral. If you would like to inquire about an appointment you can call us directly at 717-569-5331 or fill out our Appointment Request Form, and we would be happy to discuss your options. You may also check with your insurance provider to see if they require a referral to schedule an appointment at our practice. You can view a full list of our participating insurances here.
If you are a new patient who has not requested a specific physician you will see the first available physician related to your specific needs. All of our physicians are similarly trained and highly experienced, so you can rest assured that you will be in good hands throughout your care. We highly suggest that you see the same physician throughout your course of treatment. You and/or your referring medical provider are welcome to request a specific physician, but depending on their schedule, your wait time may vary.
Prior to Your Visit
After your visit has been scheduled you will receive a ‘New Patient Packet’ in the mail with a booklet that provides you with all the information you need to know about your appointment. Should you have any questions about this information, or if you don’t receive your packet in the mail, don’t hesitate to give us a call.
The Day of Your Visit
Typically, we ask that you arrive to your appointment 30 minutes prior to the scheduled time. You will receive an automated appointment reminder 48-hours prior to your visit to confirm your appointment. This reminder call will give you a specific arrival time based on the type of visit you have. Your prompt arrival at your scheduled arrival time is very much appreciated. For patients who do not arrive on time, the appointments may have to be rescheduled.
Based on your insurance you may be responsible for a co-pay at the time of your visit.
After your arrival you will be checked-in by our front desk staff, and you will see your provider for your scheduled visit. Should you have any questions or need additional clarification prior to your visit, certainly do not hesitate to contact us at any time by calling 717-569-5331.
